OMG, I've been having these lil fits of not being able to stay awake for like an hour both yesterday and today...I hate having to resort to coffee, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...so here's a funny story:
"So I went out to our courtyard(sounds a lot nicer than it really is) for a smoke break. Now there's plants and stuff all over the courtyard and only one way in and out. So I go in and sit kinda in the middle of the area...where this table is at...I light up and I'm just chillin. After about 5 minutes...if you don't already know how smoke affects the body, it's kindof helps you to release...bodily...if you catch my drift. So in layman's terms I tooted...not deafeningly loud, but kinda loud and I even said to myself, "Damn." So I continue smoking, basking in my newly released air...it didn't smell, I swear...when all of the sudden I hear this rustling in one of the bushes being blocked by the tree in front of me! Gil comes out...apparently, he was sitting on the bench on the far wall, and the tree totally obstructed my view of hiim...I was so freakin embarassed. So he says, as he's walking by, "Don't worry man, if I were you, I wouldn't have known
I was here either and probably done the same thing!" So after we laughed about it...I'm still embarassed, mind you, I waited til he was gone and I booked it back up to the confines of my desk. Sheesh...of all the damn luck.
Oh happy day...
Other than the stomach ache and the falling asleep for a bit, it's been a good day so far. Work isn't as tough as it's been in the past weeks, people are a lot more relaxed, and I'm just generally in a great mood. So we had our monthly drawing here at work, and I am the proud winner of a new...Apline shirt...yay! I love winning things, and at least it's something that I can use...even if it's only for work. I wouldn't have had any use for like a coffee mug or anything...some days are just THIS good.
